While the film is celebrated for its visceral horror, its true weight lies in its exploration of human empathy amidst systemic panic.
The character of Su-an, a young girl who retains her capacity for compassion while surrounded by self-preservation and fear, inspires this work. Unlike the adults who yield to cynicism, Su-an remains unyielding in her humanity. Strain To Hold On translates this dynamic into a minimalist visual field, replacing human figures and narrative dialogue with vector graphics, structural timing, and precise vector choreography.
