Conceptual Background

Elmo's Halloween is a 3-second silent digital micro-animation created as a tribute submission for Jim Henson's Birthday Celebration at the Museum of the Moving Image. Inspired by the cultural visual of the street-performers who dress up as Elmo in Times Square alongside the classic Sesame Street episode The Search for Elmo's Costume, this piece distills urban observation into pure vector transformation.

Artwork Synopsis

A minimalist vector study unfolds against a pitch-black canvas. The distinctive red form of the Times Square-style costumed character appears before smoothly transforming into a green broccoli Halloween costume. Executed through precise keyframe choreography, the minimalist piece captures a playful seasonal transformation while exploring shape, color transition, and visual economy in real time.
