Conceptual Background
All Sixes and Sevens was conceived within a 48-hour period of intense creative production, sparked by an archival discovery while screening the film The Wiz. Hearing the traditional idiom "all sixes and sevens" resonated with the artist due to its intersection with the contemporary viral numeric trend. This convergence became the catalyst for a rapid time-based experiment translating psychological overwhelm and spiritual alignment into a stark geometric landscape.
Artwork Synopsis
The narrative opens with a photographic archive of the artist's childhood apartment building in Brooklyn, New York, mapping out a linear path using geometric vectors over the windows and fire escape. This structure is quickly disrupted as a dense, kinetic storm of numeric typography engulfs the composition and obscures the protagonist. Resolution occurs when a luminous circular symbol descends to fuse with the character, functioning as an anchor of divine clarity that restores visibility and empowers the form to navigate the chaos.
